Privacy
What this site collects, why, and how long it is kept. Written plainly, because a privacy policy nobody can read is not a privacy policy.
What is collected
This site keeps standard web-server logs. For each request that means: the time, the IP address, an approximate location worked out from that address (country, region and city), the page requested, the referring page, and the browser’s user-agent string.
That is used for one thing — understanding how many people visit, roughly where they are, and how much of the traffic is automated crawlers rather than readers.
Location lookups stay on our server
Approximate location is worked out on the server against a local IP-to-location database. Visitor IP addresses are never sent to a third-party geolocation service. Location data is contributed by DB-IP under CC BY 4.0.
What this site does not do
- No advertising, and no data sold or shared with advertisers.
- No third-party analytics and no tracking scripts — nothing on these pages loads from another company’s servers.
- No tracking cookies. Reading this site sets no cookie at all.
- No accounts, no sign-up, no newsletter, and no attempt to identify individual readers.
- No affiliate links, so there is nothing to track you for.
How long it is kept
Server logs are currently kept indefinitely. Automatic deletion is switched off. If that changes, this page changes with it.
